Common Similarities in Religion and Pop-music.

When it comes to artists who choose to acknowledge God and Jesus in their music, a lot of common themes come up in these songs, even though they're written by different individuals. These themes include, but are not limited to, having faith, believing in something bigger than oneself, stating that God is the only one who can judge them and acknowledging the greatness of the Almighty. Also, one of the biggest common themes in music that acknowledges two of the greatest aspects of Christianity is that it "...invites listeners to adopt, and then enables them to express, a particular form of Christian identity" (Radwan, 188). In general, Chirst is given a similar identity each time. In the world of pop music, especially techno, God plays a role in that world, just as people feel that he should in the everyday world (Eurish, 65). Altogether, all of these themes seem to repeat themselves with each new artist that chooses to acknowledge God and Jesus in their work.
